WeOwnTV’s mission is to manifest film and media projects that explore our shared humanity and foster an appreciation of the natural world. Our media education program works with filmmakers from underserved communities and balances intensive film production with important skills training while enabling young filmmakers to share their stories and ideas with the world.WeOwnTV’s program in Sierra Leone is a multimedia educational project focusing specifically on the artistic and professional development of young Sierra Leoneans. Independent media and a thriving artistic culture are important cornerstones for any society to build a peaceful future. By training young men and women in the craft of filmmaking, WeOwnTV gives the youth of Sierra Leone a medium and a platform to share their creative, collective voice with the world.
