Bay Area Video Coalition

The Bay Area Video Coalition, or BAVC (pronounced "bay-vac"), is a nonprofit media arts center that was founded in 1976 by a coalition of media makers and activists who wanted to find alternative, civic-minded applications for a new technology: PortaPak video. Our continuing mission is to inspire social change by enabling the sharing of diverse stories through art, education and technology.

Creative Capital

Creative Capital was founded in 1999 to support artists pursuing adventurous and imaginative ideas, drawing on venture capital concepts to provide funding, counsel and career development services. It is the only national grantmaking and artist service organization for individual artists with an open application process, supporting projects in five disciplines: Emerging Fields, Film/Video, Innovative Literature, Performing and Visual Arts

Freedom to Create

Freedom to Create is a movement of creative people who are changing the world. Freedom to Create was founded in 2006 to foster prosperity in the developing world by investing in the creative foundations of society. The Freedom to Create Prize was added in 2008 to support and recognize artists who strive for social change on the frontlines of poverty, conflict and suffering. The arts have a unique ability to improve lives in innovative and low cost ways. To date more than 230 grants have been made in over 80 countries, touching over 12 million lives altogether.

Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars

Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars are a group of musicians who escaped the horrific violence of Sierra Leone's civil war, landed in a West African refugee camp and formed a band to keep their spirits up and their hopes alive. From these humble beginnings the band has now grown to be an international musical sensation. An unbelievable testament to the human spirit, the journey of Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars exemplifies the universal healing power of music.

Zaudhaus, Inc. is an interaction design and brand creation firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
